What Is 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme

💡TES full form is Technical Entry Scheme and is well-known as 10+2 Entry for Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.

TES or Technical Entry Scheme is similar to NDA Entry. But, totally different from UES or TGC Entry.

A candidate must not be below 16 and half years & above 19 and half years on the first day of the month in which course is due to commence i.e. the candidates should not be born before 01 January 2000 and not after 01 Jan 2002 (both days inclusive).

Through the TES Entry Scheme, younger students of 10+2 or 12th class get a chance to become a cadet in OTA (Officers Training Academy).

Difference between NDA Entry and TES Entry will be, NDA requires a Written Test + SSB. While for TES 10+2 Entry, eligible candidates can directly go for SSB Interviews. Besides, eligibility criteria also vary.

To Apply Online for TES 41, you’ll have to pass 12th Standard with minimum 70% marks and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Better famous as PCM in students.

Without any written examinations, candidates who’ll qualify in SSB Interview and Medical Test will have their names in Final Merit List of TES 41. Thus, only selected candidates will be called for further training.

But, after scoring the best possible percentage in class 12th. Either it’s your first attempt or you failed last time (in TES 40 SSB), this guide about Technical Entry Scheme 41 Entry contains more than required.

Today we’ll thoroughly discuss each and everything you need to know about Technical Entry Scheme 41 (or beyond) on this one single page.

SSB full form is Service Selection Board. SSB interview is a most important stage of the TES selection procedure for bookworms who scored 85%+ easily in class 12th.

No doubt these three Technical Entry Scheme SSB Interview Preparation Best Books will maximise your chances of selection –

But, no SSB preparation book or coaching centre in the world can guarantee 100% selection in the service selection board interview.SSB Interview Coaching

All you need to have is the practical knowledge of your surroundings and awesome level of awareness. Rest, everything falls at place thereafter.

TES 41 (& other exams) SSB Interview is considered one of the toughest interviews of the nation. And, stands behind UPSC Civil Services IAS and other examination interviews.

It is a five-day procedure. And besides a long list of things required, here are four documents you’ll have to carry at your SSB centre, otherwise, an entry will be banned –

  1. ID proof in original.
  2. Class 12th Certificate/ Marksheet in the original.
  3. Class 10th Certificate/ Marksheet in original showing Date of Birth of candidate.
  4. One copy of the print out application duly signed by the candidate will be carried to the selection centre.

But, you know what, this question “Why is it that people say TES SSB is more difficult than the NDA SSB?” is amongst the most asked ones.

As an approximation, 4 Lakh candidates every year appear for NDA Examination, 8-9 thousand clear written test, 500 clears SSB and nearly 350-400 finally join National Defence Academy.

Comparing it with the Technical Entry Scheme in which every student scoring above the minimum required to cut off (85%+ in TES 40) can easily apply online. Thus, in comparison to NDA SSB, TES SSB gets more volunteers on the screening day.

Experts suggest that NDA SSB and TES SSB only differs on screening day. Thus, per batch on screening day (first day of SSB), 15% is selection for TES SSB and 35% is selection for NDA SSB.

If fortunate enough to have your names appeared in the final merit list. Here’s a short schedule of five days SSB interview you’ll go through –

Day 5: Announcement of recommended candidates after a conference.

Day 4: Final Group Task (FGT), Individual Obstacles, Interview for remaining candidates.

Day 3: Personal interview by a president (not of all candidates), Half Group Task and Command Task, Progressive Group Task (PGT) and Intergroup Obstacle Race or Snake Race, Group Discussion Test, Military Planning Exercise (MPE) and Lecturettes.

Day 2: Self Description Test, Situation Reaction Test (SRT), Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) and Word Association Test (WAT).

Day 1: Better known as screening day. Filling up of personal notice questionnaire (PIQ) forms, Picture Perception and Description Test (PPDT) and Intelligence Test.

TES 41 (2019-2020) Expected Cut Off

💡Technical Entry Scheme Cut Off is minimum percentage you need to score in 12th class with PCM subjects to get selected for SSB Interview. TES 41 Expected Cut Off is 80%-90% (between).
